What is the main function of a poster? To
be read! This might sound facetious but I have seen many posters that
would be more at home in the Tate Modern than on a tree in rural County
Clare! The best advice I ever got about designing posters was from an
elderly tutor at art college - he said: "If your granny can't read it
from the top deck of the 49A bus, then it is not doing its job."

The Miami Showband wanted specific colours
